Vegan Leather
Vegan means that no animal products are used in the making of the shoes. This comes with zero compromises to the quality and aesthetics.
To accomplish that, we introduced 4 vegan materials for the upper: Vegan Nappa, Vegan Soft Grain, Vegain Painted Calf and Vegan Suede. We’ve also introduced animal-free alternatives for the insole, lining and shoe laces.
All these materials are made of synthetic and plant-based materials such as polyurethane, hemp, or cotton.
All vegan materials on the 3D designing tool are marked with a green V symbol, so you can easily identify them. Vegan materials are exclusively available for Sneakers, you won’t find them in other shoe categories.
Bear in mind that to design a 100% vegan sneaker you will have to use the vegan alternatives on all customizable parts.
Smart replaces the original Super last used in our sneaker line.
But what’s this all about? It’s hard to explain how comfortable the new sneakers are. It’s really a pleasure to walk with them.
What has changed?
The shoe last has been re-engineered with new lines and volumes to boost comfortability. Both sneakers look the same from the outside, with just a subtle modification to the toe shape to make it sleeker.
We use lighter and more flexible stiffeners to improve comfortability.
Stiffeners are reinforcing materials inserted in the front (toe) and back (counter) to preserve the last shape and original appearance of the shoe.
Inner insoles have also been modified. The shoe last was re-designed to provide more inner space. This allowed the insole to become thicker, which translates to more cushion and walking comfortability.
In regards to inner lining, we tested several options and ended up choosing the new soft calf lining. It’s amazingly smooth and pliable, which adds to the bendy and unstructured shoe feeling.
Original waxed cotton laces have also been replaced with plain cotton laces. They are softer and stretchy, which makes them easier to tie and untie.
Last but not least, some of the upper materials have also been adjusted exclusively for sneakers.
For instance, crust leather (painted calf) and nappa have become thiner and softer, which makes the shoe itself feel more pliable, bendy and smooth. - May 25, 2022

Art Soles

We are excited to announce the release of our latest project: hand painted Art Soles for goodyear welted shoes.
Images and patterns are hand painted over the classic leather sole for an astonishing luxury effect. After being painted, these soles are brushed and polished to enhance the effect.
You can find the new Art Sole on the sole selection panel of your 3D Designing Tool. Remember that this sole is only available for Goodyear welted shoes. There is an extra cost of approximately 30 EUR (33.24 USD) when using this sole (prices will vary).
The Waxed Suede Look
We would like to announce the addition of Waxed Suede leather to our DM collection.
Waxed Suede is a waxed leather that will give your shoes a casual look. It is one of those leathers that will age wonderfully. You’ll have a one-of-a-kind pair of richly dyed shoes that work with waxes during wear and offer wonderful natural waterproof properties.
A rugged shrunken fiber leather is combined with a world-renowned tanning and waxing process. Simply put, this leather is meant to take a beating and will immediately have a distressed, yet refined look to it.
As the leather gets more wear, undertones will start to show through to the surface and wax will begin to wear and even out.
As opposed to traditional waxed flesh or waxed finish leathers, which are typically waxed on the surface only, waxed suede leather has wax both in the tannage and on the surface, creating a waterproof barrier between the elements and your foot.
Waxed Suede is available in four colors: Brown, Green, Black and Grey, and on all items that work with Box Calf, except for bags, belts and Fast Lane items.
